Melanie Rose began her dance training at Powers Dance Art Center in New Windsor, NY, where she studied Broadway and Rhythmic Tap, as well as Classical Ballet under the direction of Mrs. Toon, Mr. Powers, and Mr. Thompson—all of whom trained and performed with legends like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, and Sammy Davis Jr.

She continued her training at the Hudson Valley Conservatory under Samuel E. Wright and Amanda Wright, receiving professional instruction in Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, and Theater. There, she began teaching Hip Hop and later co-led the Conservatory’s Hip Hop program, where she wrote, directed, and choreographed several original productions.

Melanie has furthered her training at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Brickhouse NYC, focusing on advanced Tap, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She is the founder of Studio 845 in Newburgh, a performing arts school offering Dance, Theater, and Creative Writing, where she created and filmed original performances that were featured in local theaters.

Performance credits include VH1 Save the Music, Barbizon Modeling, Newburgh Illuminated, K-Fest, Off-Broadway productions, music videos, and national tours as a backup dancer.

Melanie holds an associate degree in Pre-Law/Psychology from Berkeley College and two BFAs from Marist College—in English/Communications (Creative Writing) and Forensic/Child Psychology.
