Tracy Wright Dunivan, originally from Texas, has successfully coached and launched the careers of young performers for over 35 years. She began her work as a teacher of the arts, primarily dance, at her family-owned performing arts studio, Four Sisters Studio of Dance, where she found her bliss in teaching and mentoring. Because of her own elite training and diverse performance abilities, she undertook many artistic endeavors and opportunities, including choreography, dancing, and acting roles in regional playhouses and theatres, including Houston’s renowned Theatre Under the Stars. That is where the founder and late director, Frank Young, encouraged Tracy to expand her acting pursuit to include work in front of the camera; however, her calling for teaching eventually won out and led her to guide countless young people to find their joy on the stage and in film and television.
Throughout the evolution of her career, she began to specialize in training and promoting young actors with an emphasis on television and film. The level of talent and potential she either discovered or developed was uncanny. Through her highly successful SHOKIDZ acting classes in Houston and Los Angeles, numerous young actors found their niche and began rewarding careers. She coached and was integral in helping launch the professional careers of numerous well known young actors whom have starred in both independent and studio films along with countless television starring, guest and co-starring roles.
In 2022 Tracy found her way to the Warwick Center for the Performing Arts when she moved from Austin, TX to have unlimited time with her grandchildren. Her granddaughter, Alice, was excited to take ballet, so they both landed at WCPA where Alice loves her training and the numerous performance opportunities in ballet and musical theater. Tracy has continued her life’s work as a passionate, devoted teacher and mentor to many eager, young actors and dancers. Tracy is truly a youth specialist, possessing a unique ability to draw boundless creativity and bold choices from her students. Regardless of their ultimate career choices, Tracy’s goal is to help her clients recognize their full artistic potential, develop top communication skills and build strong, life-long self-esteem so they may realize all life’s gifts!
